How to make rock candy

What you need:

2½ cups of sugar

One cup of water

What to do: Pour one cup of water into the pot and boil it on the stove when the water is a hard boil pour the 2½ cups sugar slowly into the water. The sugar should dissolve quite quickly. When the sugar has dissolved into the water pour it into the glass jar(wait for the solution to cool down before you pour it into the glass jar). When you have poured the solution into the glass jar punch a hole into the lid of the jar and stick the skewer into it. The skewer must not touch the bottom of the jar, a good position for the skewer to be in the jar is ¼ way down. put the jar in a place where it will not be moved for a seven days. After seven days you can eat it.

How to make a smoke bomb What you need:

6 teaspoons of saltpeter

3 teaspoons of sugar

A box of matches

What to do: This experiment can be very dangerous so be careful. Salt peter can be baught at your local chemist.
Take the 3 teaspoons of sugar and mix it with the 6 teaspoons of saltpeter(Potasium Nitrate). Pour the mixture into the can. Light the candle and place the can on top of the flame. Stir the mixture every two or three minutes (becuase the mixture may ingnite if you do not). once the mixture has turned to a syrip light the mixture or pour it into a mould so it can be used at a later stage(if you are going to pour it into a mould make sure you have a fuse to light it with).

Short way of making a smoke bomb mix the 3 teaspoons of sugar with the 6 teaspoons of salt peter, light the mixture.

How to make gunpowder What you need:

5 teaspoons of salt peter

5 teaspoons of sulphur

A teaspoon of crushed charcoal or coal,(coal works beter)

What to do: Sulphur and saltpeter can be bought at your local chemist.
Take the 5 teaspoons of saltpeter, the 5 teaspoons sulphur and 1 teaspoon of sugar and mix it together.

how to seperate salt from water What you need

2x test tubes(heat risistent)

Mix the warm water with the salt in a test tube, there should be a little salt left. the pour a little bit of the salt water into the second test tube, make sure you do not get the salt left at the bottom of the first test tube into the second. Light the candle and take the second test tube and heat. When the sollution starts to spit heat it slowly. when all the water has evaporated salt will be left at the bottom (don't eat the salt).

How to make invisible ink What you need:

Take the lemon and cut it into four pieces, when you have done that take the one piece and write what you want to wright on the paper.

If you want to read the message take an iron and heat the writing gently, and the text should show up

How to make oxygen What you need:

Hydrogen peroxide

Manganese dioxide(found in batteries)

What to do: Pour the hydrogen peroxide into the jar until the jar is ¼ full the add a pinch of manganse dioxide into it. This should create oxygen. If you put a lit match by the top of the jar the flame should burn brighter and bigger.

How to make fake mucus what you need:

Unflavered gelatin

½ a cup of water

What to do: Boil the water on the stove the add three packets of geletin into it. take it off the stove and lett it soften. Add corn syrip until you can fill up one cup. Then add the dirt.

How to neutralize an acid or a base What you need:

What to do: pour the acid into a beaker and the add the base to acid and the base neutralize each other. If you pour lemon juice and baking soda together they create a chemical reaction because they are neutralizing each other.
